Activities

So you're in Melbourne, from out of town, at the end of Spring. What better place could you spend your time, the day after the conference?

Why not get up early and get some fresh produce at the Victoria Markets, and then wander around the Exhibition Gardens before 10am. Then organise some industry related meetings for the rest of the morning, and finish up discussing future partnerships over lunch?

Bring the family to Melbourne for the weekend, staying in the Downtowner at its convenient rates and location, and just walk the streets of Melbourne. Start at the top end of Collins Street at Parliament House (where Australia's first Parliament sat for the first 20 years) and walk to the other end, passing the magnificient architecture of the 1850s, made possible by Melbourne's proximity to the Ballarat gold fields. Notice the difference at either end of Collins Street with the thoroughly 21st century architecture of Southern Cross Station with its technical textile roof.

From there, catch a train in any direction. Within an hour you can be in any direction you can be in beautiful scenery watching either sea or mountain views, wineries, golf clubs - and even industry.

The list is endless. Visit the Thats Melbourne!website for current details of what's on in Melbourne during your visit.
