Melbourne Museum - The Age Theatre Melbourne Museum is located just north of the Melbourne CBD within the Exhibition Gardens. It can be accessed by via Rathdowne or Nicholson Streets in Carlton. Or you could walk through the gardens from the south at Victoria Street. The largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere, Melbourne Museum is both impressive and imposing, boasting soaring glass walls and steel columns. The Melbourne Museum features an innovative combination of space, colour and texture. The Age Theatre is situated on the lower ground floor of the Melbourne Museum, accessed by escalators at the main entrance. The Museum is to the north of the World Heritage Listed Exhibition Buildings and gardens.
